How can I transfer information from one tree or page to the one I am trying to create

You can transfer the FULL tree to another tree but that transfer will over write any data on that site. I am not aware of any means to transfer partial data. To transfer the full site you backup the original site, then download it to your computer. Then you upload the file to the target tree.
